Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
FCC accepts private pay clients and offers out-of-network services.
How out-of-network benefits work: You pay out of pocket at the time of each session. At the end of each session, I will give you a Super Bill with the information necessary to give to your insurance company. Depending on your out-of-network mental health benefits, your payment will either go towards a deductible or you will be reimbursed for a percentage of the session payment. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, feel free to call your insurance company to find out about what your plan offers.
What forms of payment can I use?
You will be able to pay with cash, check, or credit card.
What is the best way to contact you?
The safest way to contact me is by phone as it is more secure than email. You can call me at 512.522.5248. You may also e-mail me at [email protected].
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel an appointment with more than 24 hours, there is no charge. This leaves me with ample space to fill the slot. However, if you cancel within less than 24 hours or do not show up, you will be charged the full fee. The only exceptions are if you are sick or have an emergency.
With couples counseling, please note that if only one of you is unable to attend, the
other is still expected to come for the session.
Why do I have to keep my credit card on file?
Clients are required to keep their credit card on file in case of late cancellations or no-shows, excluding the exceptions stated above. I will try my best to contact you prior to charging your card, if need be.
Do you have weekend and evening hours?
Yes, FCC offers evening and Saturday hours.
How does Couples Counseling work?
For the first session, I will meet with the couple together. The following week, I will meet with each partner individually in order to obtain background information about each partner’s upbringing. This helps me understand more of what each person brings into the relationship that may possibly be getting in the way of healthy functioning. Once I meet with both partners, we will resume working together again.
Do I have to be married to come to couples counseling?
Couples counseling is open to anyone in an intimate relationship. FCC welcomes all types of relationships, whether they are opposite-sex or same-sex couples.
What are the ages of children you work with?
I work with children ages thirteen and above.
Do you offer sliding scale?
I do provide some sliding scale slots. Although they may be limited, feel free to inquire if interested. The sliding scale fee is $100 for 50 minute sessions.
